Autoantibody target discovery

R

The majority of functional epitopes are conformational requiring natively folded proteins

R

Identifying the targets of idiopathic antibody-based autoimmunity can be challenging

R

Proteins on the Ectocellect array are folded and active

R

Only small amounts of sera/plasma (100 microlitres) are needed for testing

Case study to identify targets of idiopathic autoimmunity.

Serum from a patient with autoimmune disease was applied to the array and binding detected with an anti-human secondary antibody. Candidate targets for autoantibodies were identified as well as the expected immunoglobulin Fc receptors.

Applications

Boost your research using the Ectocellect receptor array for:

Therapeutic antibody specificity testing

Cost effectively test binding specificity of antibodies and AI-designed binders.

Antibody target deconvolution

Identify the targets of functional antibodies of unknown specificity.

Receptor deorphanisation

Discover new receptors and ligands.
